Searching for an old truck to restore and bring back to life. Preferably a Pete 379 or kenworth w900, but I’m open to anything. Any condition is fine; rusty, caught on fire, wrecked, you name it. If you got something or know someone, shoot me a message and let’s work something out

Are you looking to work the truck or just build it for fun? Look at older rigs if it's a Sunday cruiser otherwise the 379 is a great choice for going to work.Caterpillar Cowboy Thanks this. -

If the state you live in allows you to register and plate it as an antique or historic vehicle then you will be ok and emmisions exempt for now. Usually has to be at least 25 yrs old for it to qualify for that. If you can’t work it in ca you will not be able to work it in the other 49 states soon.
If you ever trade it in to a dealer for a new truck it will be scrapped and the engine block has to be “holed”. Which means no good salvage engine blocks to rebuild for older hobby trucks either. Used truck dealers will not be able to resell anything pre def. Private sales will be ok as a non working collector only. Not a big market for that like vintage cars or muscle cars. But even the newer generation is killing that with their lack of interest in old things and false belief in what’s green.
Pretty much anything 2009 and older with a diesel and pre def will be outlawed for commercial use.tommymonza Thanks this. -
This is the reason why I drive my ‘67 everyday to work and back since I retired from driving fulltime. It sits in the parking lot or backed to an empty spot on the dock all day but I don’t care what people think. It’s fun. I’m having fun and want to enjoy my truck and life and freedom as long as I can.
