Love's to require face masks at all stores

This is just more bs to put up with...this whole handling of this stinks to high heaven

 

From what I saw on my local news last night...tells me all I need to know the motive behind this bs

 

The problem is anyone who ####s with the employees by arguing or being difficult is just an ###. Those employees wether at a truck stop or anywhere else are just being given directions from their boss. The boss is getting their directions from the corporation. Don’t #### with a working man or woman. Who needs that kind of #### while they are trying to make a living. If you want to piss in somebody’s Wheaties protest in front of the corporate headquarters. They are making the decisions.
As truck drivers we all jump through a lot of hoops. We all know how it feels to be ####ed with while doing our job. Leave the workers alone.

 

You want to know what's wrong with the way this has been handled and why it "stinks to high heaven"... Look to that logo under your name. By ignoring the scientists and calling it a "hoax" for months, the situation has been made MUCH worse.

Know what scientists do? They follow the evidence. Wherever it leads. Yes, in March when we didn't know as much as we know now (or even a couple weeks after the end of March) and there WAS a point that the scientists briefly advised against wearing a mask. Partially because they didn't need every idiot to run to the store and buy up EVERYTHING (like the toilet paper!) when the DOCTORS needed the supply at that time. BUT also partly because the scientists had not yet learned exactly how much could be transmitted on the humidity from our faces as we breathe!

A couple weeks after that decision, the SCIENCE evolved as they learned more, and they changed their recommendation. Was their original suggestion wrong or somehow "fake" as certain sources might suggest? No. Just like as a child you might think beer tastes bad, but now you like it - was YOUR opinion "wrong" before? No. It evolved as time went on, and your opinion adapted to the new information.

That's what a smart person does. They listen to evidence, weigh the options, and get informed opinions from people that know more about a given subject. In this case, medical scientists. The science says that the humidity that fogs up your glasses is capable of carrying LOTS of the virus with it, and while the virus itself is smaller - the cloth of the mask STOPS THE HUMIDITY you are breathing out - which stops the virus from passing through.

This is a simple enough thing that even DOT scale operators should be able to understand... So why the controversy? Wear the dam mask, and be happy that you are at least still making money. There are a LOT of people out there who aren't. Seen any trucks for Clark Transfer lately? Yeah. Exactly. The theatre and entertainment industry likely won't be back to work until 2022 because of people that won't wear mask.

There has been exactly one peer reviewed study on non-medical (cloth) masks. It's result is the mask wearer is more likely to get sick while not preventing the spread in any measurable amount vs. the no mask.control group.
