That's because nobody GOES to Cali anymore (unless they have to, like you, hahahaha!)

 

I thought it was one per email... and we share hers, because .. um... I'm not that .. not the sharpest umm... in the shed, ya know~!

 

Really? Didn't know that.. one username per email? But she can get an extra email just for the forum if that's the case...

 

Because I really don't want local.... Hate driving in the cities... hate multiple pick ups and deliveries... and drop and hooks... It would be too tiresome... There would be no time to rest enough and do everything else... nobody to cook at home... nobody to clean the house, nobody to do the groceries, etc, etc... I would have to do all that plus work all day... and would have to pay rent and utilities...
Don't think I would like to be a yard jockey or something like that either...
I like the open looong road... But time will tell... Not going into a truck this year yet...

When I'll go back to Rio sometime this year... hopefully... I may have to stay in my old apartment... to save hotel money... cause all is SUPER expensive over there...
But I don't like that place... that location is super expensive, no supermarket nearby, the apartment is empty... no internet, no cable tv, no furniture, nothing.. no refrigerator, no stove, no nothing...
I am still paying the power though.... it has water and electricity... But I will have to buy a refrigerator, a table, a chair, and basic stuff for cooking, etc, etc...

 

That actually sounds FUN.... kinda like starting over! Books make good friends too, ya know. Wife still reads a LOT. The paper kind, she didn't like the kindle concept.

Speaking of wife....she's off and running again for a bit today...and I fell asleep before I spoke to her about setting up an account; that will be my pm mission, after a nap. Watching Star Wars and sitting in front of the a/c right now, haha!

I hear you on local. Mine's more 'intrastate' . . . I go to about 10 or 12 places in Ohio, at random according to my loads for the day. Even to PA once in awhile. I really love my job. Rarely do the 'same route' more than once, in the same order.

No... it's not fun for me... at this point in my life.... Absolutely not... didn't want to go thru this and trying to find a different way to deal with this...

 

Understood. I've never been out of the country myself; it all sounds like an adventure to me. Sorry.
