The rumors are true...its back open. I didn't even know until this morning. It's under new ownership, named Mega Truck Stop. From what the storerunners told me, Flying J will indeed be returning to handle the fuel services (a la the Town Pumps in MT). They've only been up and running since the end of May, so there's not much in the way of inventory in the store itself-- just your typical small-stop goods for right now--but it looks like they're working on reopening the mini-cafe in there, as someone was in there cleaning it out and up from what I saw.
As for parking, the lower lot is open, though not organized (yet); the upper lot is still barricaded, though the storerunners say that if PFJ can work out a deal with the owner(s) of that lot, they'll open it back up. (If that happens, I'd expect PFJ would then own or at least lease it, so I'd think that'd mean at least one row of reserved parking up there if not a few more).
The outside still looks run down, but they're slowly working the place back to life. No idea on what they plan to do with the old Perkins, or any of the other shop areas downstairs, but at least the place is back open again; hopefully they get back up to full speed again.
So there's your update for now...
