They are offering me a regional position. Benefits are some of the best I have seen so far. Pay is ok 48cpm. Want to know if its worth it. Pros and cons of the job.

My friend worked for them briefly. I think he had a home daily gig with them. I don't think he had a regular route or did OTR. They have nice equipment, great benefits, and OK CPM. If you are hired company policy is nobody else in your family can work for them, although a generous terminal manager may look the other way. I don't know about rider policy. I'd bet money they won't allow pets, but I may be wrong.

They are super safety oriented. I don't know if they have driver-facing cameras. They definitely have dashcams and someone will review the videos, like if you stop quickly for a sudden red light change etc. Stuff like that can require you to sit through coaching and get a warning. A couple of those, if they are bad enough, can get you terminated. The company is/was part of Coca-Cola. That's my memory of what we talked about when he started. He really liked it when he started. They treated him really well but he was worried one more stupid 4-wheeler could get him fired.

I worked for them about a year or so. Good job, great equipment and very friendly open door policy. I started on night shift and wasnt really doing well with coming in at 1 am plus never having a weekend off got old. The plus points were that the equipment was top notch no touch freight, and if I remember correctly if you were at any coke DC or a vendor for more than hour you got automatic detention pay. Never was there longer than 35 mins tops. You are top priority. They had forward facing cameras and they are very safety oriented. I did my orientation in Charlotte and it was a breeze. They put us up in a super nice hotel with a room all to yourself near some very nice restaurants and places to shop. First day you will do road tests etc and do Computer based learning tests. They will probably send you you're drug screen/physical forms in the mail thru fedex at least they did mine so you can do it prior to coming to orientation. Good luck!

A shirt tailed relative of mine got cited by a jerk of a cop on Memorial Day weekend. He went through a red light that he couldn't stop at. Tried to explain that to the cop. The cop's reply: I was told it is Memorial Day weekend so write tickets. Driver called in the incident. Happened to be 1 mile from a small truckstop. He was told to park the truck and get his stuff out of it. He was done. End of story.
