Its best to go off duty for most of the time ur picking and deliivering. Not technically legal but thats how u conserve your 70 clock. I usually am off duty while waiting to be unloaded and loaded. On duty while tying down and tarping. Been inspected 4 times this year and never have they ever said anything about that... just dont be that guy whos got a full tarp job and only logged 10 minutes at the shipper. Atleast make it look good

On duty time at the shipper/consignee, I didn’t know I could go off duty when getting loaded/unloaded

I log between 15min-1hr on duty when picking up or dropping off. If it looks like Im gonna be there awhile, I log off duty. I dont log tarping or strapping time because they cant prove wtf I was doing during that time.

And *knock on wood* you've been inspected more this year than I have in almost 5yrs lol.
