I can't DM you because I am new here and don't have 7 posts yet. I am set to graduate in 3 weeks. Top of my class, all endorsements, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. No restrictions. I have made calls to "starter" companies and had recruiters come in. I don't believe everything I read online, and most "reviews" are typically from ex-employees anyways. I don't want to jump into the wrong situation as I am 45 years old and this is a major step in a different direction. Obviously I want the least amount of Orientation and Driver Trainer time before I can get my own rig, but I also understand no one is just going to give me their equipment with zero miles under my belt. I do have a family with young kids, so home time would be great, however I do understand the $$$ and expectation is OTR so I don't mind that. What I would like help with is picking through the crap to find the closest thing to a golden turd I can find. Any help would be appreciated. Side note, of the recruiters I have spoken to if I HAD to choose today I would go with TMC. Decent orientation and driver trainer time (Schneider was ridiculously long), seems like nice equipment (only bad thing I have seen is the 62 governed). I am not sold on the percentage pay over the per mile they do. Again, any help is greatly appreciated.
