I Need Help; Trying To Switch Companies

    I'm still relatively new to trucking and was wondering if some of y'all could help me.

    My year with my company is almost over and I'm trying to get into McLane since it'll be more local. I'm trying to see what my chances are from where I stand right now.

    I have had two minor collisions that were reported to my company since I started trucking. There were no points added to my license but I would like to know how long they stay on the company's record? I don't know if I should wait a year since my last collision to switch companies or just do it a bit after my year is over.

    Any advice would be highly appreciated.

    Your two accidents will stay on your current companies permanent history. Call a McLane recruiter and ask them point blank if it will be a problem.

    When you say minor does that mean hitting a yellow pole or ripping off a door.... OR does that mean actually hitting someone in a vehicle?

    One was a yellow pole and the other was a joint in a sprinkler line. The only damage to the truck was a cracked headlight.

    Should have kept quiet and not reported such minor incidents. Could have said a rock from the road hit the headlight.
    If you get one more incident on your DAC report, you're screwed. You can find a job, but won't like it.

    Even thought its not on your license the Company will report that information to DAC and it will show up on your DAC Report as an incident so whichever company you do end up going to tell them first because they will check.

    I plan on telling them about the incidents and the remedial training I did afterwards. Is there a way for me to check my own DAC report?
