When I'm in the woods cutting firewood, I cut a few hard maple sapling walking sticks, along with a couple 2-3" thick long ones, just to do what you're doing, capping the stack on Petey...

Hate the smell of PB blaster, but it sure does usually do the trick. If that fails though out comes the torch...

Note to self, dont breath in PB when squirted on hot parts. Becomes caustic in vapor.

Wouldnt mind a nice oak stick. But the broom handle was trash. And the last one got ran over by my
Buddy's dad. Hate to invest to much.

Yep as you can see I ended up using the fire wrench on a couple of them...the bolts and sleeves grew together. Also got the cutting wheel out to cut one that was close to the airlines.......fire wrench and plastic airlines don't like each other !

Usually, the package was already paid for, sometimes I'd get a bank draft to take back. How it worked was the log home company had dealers all throughout the northeast that facilitated the sale.

This day, unbeknownst to the company, the dealer that handled the sale ok'd it to be done in cash. Why? I dunno, and didn't want to know. I initially refused to do it, but after contacting my company, this how we agreed to do it, against my better judgement. I had the dealer sign for the amount received and count the money in front of me. I then recounted it again in front of the dealer. When I got back to the yard, I counted the money received from the dealer in front of the TM, and had the TM count it again, and then sign for it. Yeah, that was one of the stranger loads I pulled for them..

I've honestly never had any kind of success with penetrating fluids. I suppose if you had a day or 2 to let it soak it might help. Unfortunately when the customer's watching you over your shoulder and they need the machine up and running ASAP there's no time. Drill 'er out or torch it out!
