So, you violated the law by not putting out any warning devices, potentially getting someone killed. Weren't you the one just saying in another thread, that another driver shouldn't have a CDL because they violated the law?

Can you get a pic of this master switch? In 22 yrs of driving, lots of different trucks, including Cascadias, I've never seen it or heard of it, so I'm curious.

The battery shutoff switch is located on the floor to the left of the driver’s seat near the rear edge, between the seat and the drivers side door(on Cascadia models). I turn mine off when I’m on hometime so battery power isn’t used(plus it makes it more difficult for would be thieves to attempt to steal the truck).

It’s also good because it reboots the many computers in a modern truck

Going up 81 one night in Pa, I pulled into rest area to use the bathroom. Got back in the truck and started off, all a sudden, my gauges were going haywire. So I pulled off at the next ramp. Thought I would turn the truck off and see what would happen. Truck would not start back up, wouldn't do a things. Called the owner and she said, probably would be in the morning before she could get somebody to me since it was Sunday night. After sitting about 30 minutes, I got a my flashlight walked around the truck just looking, the minute I climbed back in, I saw the problem, the big hammer that I always laid right down on the floor on my left, when I got back in the truck at the rest area, I must have kicked the hammer against the battery cut-off switch and that was the problem. Most of the cut-off switches that I ever saw were mounted on the frame outside.

On buses most of the switches are mounted inside the baggage compartment.

And how-especially the Omnitracs ELDs-they love to shutdown and reboot before the start up cycle is complete. Completely shutting off the batteries usually clears out that error.

The Volvo I drove had its shutoff switch located on the outside below the drivers side door behind the access panels for the drivers side body fairing.

Basically you pulled up and turned two black handles to release the locks on the fairing, pull the fairing down and you see the switch right above the batteries and the battery tray.

Yeah I know about the battery kill switch, but it won't, or at least shouldn't shut the engine down if it's running, at least not immediately.

Well it shutoff for some reason. Maybe a wire from the batteries came loose, bad ground maybe?
Possibly vibrations from the truck’s operation knocked something loose?
(they’re called Freight Shakers for a reason).

Yeah, probably some other electrical fault, like a bad capacitor in the ECM, makes sense.
