My coolant will shoot out overflow hose when under full throttle climbing hills and it shoots out alot of coolant. i did water bottle test and there are bubbles not alot but it was done at idle. I took air compressor air hose off and still getting bubbles compressor has just been changed recently. Temperature is great no overheating trucks pulls without issues. No oil in coolant could compression be entering coolant system? Time for head gasket.

You could try looping coolant hoses, or crimping them off with flat vice grips. Don’t run compressor long without cooling, though. I wouldn’t bother. The test you did, is good enough, comparing it with air line hooked up, and disconnected. Same? Good enough. Shouldn’t be any bubbles at all. Either the heads cracked, or gaskets leaking due to a dropped liner, or maybe just a gasket. You don’t mention what yr. engine/Truck, or mileage

working on convention dd15 freithlineer cascadia 2013 and we install detroit 11.1 but gauges is not working this ecm only have j1587 need to now if is gauge for RPM or speed gauge the work on this convertion

Since you failed to mention model and year. Some Columbia's and Century's had air controlled coolant valve for the bunk. They were known to pressurize cooling system. Seen one get rebuilt twice from a FL dealer over that valve.
You have isolated the compressor, and dont have a bunk air controlled thermostat.
You have head or liner problem.spsauerland and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Add, I know you removed compressor outlet hose. But you really need to plug off compressor coolant lines. Temporary will not damage it.
I also suggest a exhaust gas test kit from napa. Very simple. And it you have exhaust gasses in the coolant, you know you have a inblock problem.dibstr, spsauerland and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
An update I changed overflow cap and not getting coolant pushed out anymore. But tell me if this is normal after engine is hot I slowly open a cap pressure releases and then I hear coolant coming back from thermostat housing untill it overflows ? You can hear it gurgling never seen this before

Hello everyone.
I have a problem on my 1999 12.7 Detroit S60 in a 2020 Coronado body.
I’ve ended up replacing the head gasket because of coolant overflow trough the overflow radiator pipe and bubbles while idling.
After I’ve replaced the head gasket we’ve found just a small problem on the head, it wasn’t blown, on liner 4 and 5 in the middle of the head gasket it was a little burned out.
So mechanic replaced head gasket. New radiator. New coolant reservoir, new cap. Coolant system flash.
After I started it and run for 20 miles I’ve opened the hood and the bubbles weren’t there. After 20 min of running, when temperature reached out temp 200F it started to overflow the coolant again. And making bubbles…
I sent truck to dealer for inspection. But still, is there anyone can explain what it can cause this problem?
Thank youRideandrepair Thanks this. -
Assuming liner protrusion wasn't checked. So I'll bet it's blowing through at the same area
