Postal Truck Driver Shot And Killed

There was another news story that said he had called in to police dispatch and asked for a unit to assist with watching the truck while he waited to get tire serviced. He was killed before the patrol could get there. If that were true then he must of been in a bad area and knew he was being watched. It said nothing about him being armed. I guess since he was on the clock for a federal run business he couldn’t carry his side arm. Sad.
I know a couple county cops in my area that drive trucks part time. They are the best law enforcement guys to know because they understand first hand what truckers have to put up with. Terrible loss of life.

 

Amazon is really using the USPS now to ship goods. If it's small it goes that way. I bet the truck was robbed. Since he was a State Trooper, I would think he could be armed, especially under the circumstances we are dealing with.

 

Maybe. maybe not I get called out for USPS loads a lot, they claim they are strict about fire arms, although I have never been checked. I wote discuss where and if I carry past. I do have a CCW.

 

You can't ask forgiveness if you are dead.

 

You just never know when its your bell that's going to toll. But no reason to hurry it either.
