Hey everyone! I'm looking for some experienced advice. I go for my physical on Monday. I have 20/20 vision in my right eye but my left eye is technically legally blind. It is 20/400 or 20/150 at best with glasses. This is all I know. It has been like this my whole life. My question is, will this be a deal breaker for me on trying to get my class A? Yes, I know that the requirements say 20/40 for each eye. That is why I'm asking here.
I have read through a few forums and there have been people with pretty much the same vision issues. I have read that some have been able to get it with a waiver and some that didnt need one. I'm just really hoping that I will still be able to get my CDL. Anyways, I was hoping that someone could help me out with any advice or information. Thanks in advance! ✌

I wear contact lenses and without them in I'm like 20/200 in each eye but, with them in its 20/20. Have you thought about getting contact lenses.

I was at some truck stop waiting to fuel and saw a guy in a wheelchair . left side of sleeper was a ramp that folded out and powdered down to pick him up.
he wheeled himself into the sleeper and folded the ramp back closed. think he was by himself since I didn't see anyone but really not sure since I couldn't see in his truckMs.lee626 Thanks this.
