The company has networked all the lot cameras from the stores so that any safetyman can access them from their office computer. This was intended to cut out trips to the store to get accident/incident footage. It has been weaponized, I suppose you could say. Safety has issued orders that a certain percentage of drivers are to be "audited" with this system to make sure they are doing the prescribed walk around and inspections(or the proper song and dance routine as the drivers refer to it)....exactly and completely. (wanna guess who thought this up/) So guys, you better be checking all lug nuts, getting on your hands and knees to check fifth wheel and brakes, double walk arounds, etc. Any failure to do the complete and proper procedure will result in write ups and this has already started. (wanna guess where the first terminal was that started this?) This will include stores, clubs and warehouses..every where Walmart has cameras. Has any drivers on here had a write up on this yet? Stay safe..

Well, it was nice to make your acquaintance. The chip they put in your arm when you took the DOT physical is paying off. It keeps track of strokes on a keyboard, they know you have put this warning out there. You will be sent to "training" soon with slightly more aggressive methods.Treputt, Trucker61016, Mooseontheloose and 17 others Thank this. -

Wow, I guess that's the price you have to pay for those great wages, someone checking to see that you do your job.

Imagine that. A company that might write a driver up for not doing what they are paying him for. I would fire a driver that did a drop and hook and didn't pre trip the trailer.
