I don’t have to worry about rushing around to get the day started. I woke up 3hrs before I had my alarm set:mad: oh well I need to straighten up the truck.

    Rocks Thanks this.

Just getting old... :biggrin_25523: 11 straight years OTR without exercise and poor sleeping and eating habits, etc harmed my body.... trying to get in shape again while I am not trucking..

You make everything you do sound like fun. Even when it's hard. That's what it happens when one loves what they do. :biggrin_25519:

I do enjoy it, but the reason I do will probably make most scratch their head. With ltl Reefer there’s always some kind of a problem. Everything from appointment times to the unit breaking down.

When I started trucking OTR I found my "passion"... there was nothing better for me to do than pick up loads, deliver loads and drive the truck on those looong looong roads... It totally fulfilled my life.. Gave me purpose and joy... and pride... Cause I felt like I never really had a life... And so I felt useful, productive... I married the road... it's therapeutic...

    dwells40 and 062 Thank this.

I don’t run a lot of miles anymore. I’ll have a little over 3000 in two weeks when I get home. If it wasn’t for this screwed up load I’m doing now, then it would have been 22-2400 in 12 days.

Yeah... you know you can afford to run this way.... You are your own boss, you have seen a lot throughout these years, had millions of experiences and fun... before electronic log and all the stuff that came with new technology.... back when trucking was more like a brotherhood on the road.... more freedom...
Yeah... you still do it now... whenever you want... it sounds very good to me... :biggrin_25519:

    062 Thanks this.
