Sept 25, 2009 update for the Garmin 465T

Just saw that a new firmware update is available, I dont know what it fixes but just a FYI that it is available through Web Updater.

 

Thats odd, I actually did it through MyGarmin Dashboard and it worked fine. Try hooking it up again and reinstall the software if possible.

 

I found that the new software version is 2.70, and found the changes associated with it. Not easy at all to find on the garmin site, I had to google it.

Changes made from version 2.50 to 2.70:

• Corrected issue where FMI ETA message was not being sent automatically when a route is calculated
• Corrected issue in FMI delete protocol where a packet receipt would only be sent upon failure
• Corrected LBA log file corruption issue
• Prevented power button from powering-off unit during GCD update
• Corrected issues where some microSD cards are not recognized
• Corrected issue in custom POI along route/road search

Changes made from version 2.20 to 2.50:

• Added new warning for off-route restrictions on the current road.
• Added customization for Sharp Curve Warnings.
• Added grey traffic icon in poor traffic reception conditions.
• Removed the Truck Type from the Truck Profile settings.

 

It was before this update Diesel, it just seems the 465T likes to take you off the main highway and put you on some secondary route, only in my experience to be put back on that main highway again. It doesnt really make any sense.
