Ridiculous policies not just in safety but certain procedures that are uncalled for. At some point enough is enough.. if more drivers stood up or quit there's a happy medium that corporate can preach to make their point without going overboard. To me money isn't everything, if you get to where you hate your job everyday.

Yep I worked for one last year that was very top heavy in the back office operation so much that we had to do many different paperwork forms saying the same information only on different forms going to the different departments, instead of doing one form and make them share the information. All those people got paid for duplicating the information. Royal PITA. !! That was only one example of the mismanagement there.

When you make enough money son, you'll begin to realize... All money ain't good money. Estes has it's shenanigans, but the freedom we have is unparalleled. We weren't laid off, we consistently get miles, they aren't harassing it etc. We just have crap trucks lol

I learned that first hand. I'm at the point now where I'm just chilling. I'm not killing myself for the money and I'm not putting up with SAIA type policies

I guess I just haven't made enough to the point where I don't care about making more, good or bad.

You see, I may be old but I'm a new breed trucker who is just in it for the money so that's about all I focus on.

By the time I put in the years you have and reach that chill part I will be looking at retirement, hopefully. Making more now just gets me closer to that chill part quicker.

One of the reasons why I'm kind of glad I've stuck to where I've been for the past four years. Money's not all that great. But I don't get pushed to run too hard. Those that want to run like gang-busters choose to do so. The rest of us just take what we need to meet our own needs and then go back into hiding!!
