Will be looking to start between November and February..
Have not driven rig in 8 years.
    Have kept my CDL.
I will no longer have a home or ties by then, by choice.
    10 years driving experience.
    2 year double Bottom dumps
    8 Tanker (Enjoy tankers)

Since I've been out for awhile and stayed local I'll likely need to ride-along for little while. My goal will be getting into cryo work or anything that pays. I was just under 100k when I left trucking and want to work my way back to there as quickly as possible.

Looking for company recommendations to get started with.

Trimac Transportation may still have a coast to coast division.
    Make over $100K there.

@ethos did that before retiring from trucking.

I am a full-time "homeless" trucker by choice. Stay out for 10-11 weeks at a stretch, take 12-14 days off. I own rental property in my home town. Take the time off to do upkeep/improvements. Stay with family/ friends while in town. Live cheap on the road, shop at Walmart about once per week, cook on the truck. Spend less than $100 per week on food and drinks. Bank account gets pretty fat pretty quick. Just turned 60 in June. Hope to live long enough to retire at 67:Do_O

Docbumper sounds like you have it worked out.

Depending on the company's routes I'd like to extend my reset a few days every two months. Get a rental car and checkout areas I want to see. Of course this will strongly depend on where the company needs me to be ofcourse.

A decent paying job and no overhead can mean a good retirement.

I did something like that when I was getting ready to buy another house. Worked out great . I think if you can do it, then you should. Happy Trails.
