I was denied a job because of a few minor incidents (scratch on truck/clipped mirror) on my DAC report. MVR/PSP are both clean. They said I have to be 18months safe free driving in order to apply. How long does it take for this to fall off my report, and is it possible to get any mega job that doesn't check DAC? thanks

7 years, it stays on your DAC report.

after the 7 years, all that can be "said" is the employers name/address....NOTHING ELSE

if you have been denied employment DUE TO a bad DAC, you can get a free copy, read it, and make a rebuttal. if i recall, a new DAC (once thing's may have been cleared up) will be free as well.

there are companies that DO NOT use DAC

but never ask them as that will send up the red flags.

i mean do I really need a '2nd chance' company when I haven't really done anything wrong? No actual accident. No tickets. Just scratched the hood(2 inch scratch), clipped a hood mirror while backing and bent cab extender. All from fixed objects. If I could've paid for the damages out of pocket without reporting it to my company I would've have. That's how minor it is. I imagine a 2nd chance company is more akin to if you've been involved in an actual accident(rollover/collision with other motor vehicle).

7 #### years? That's too long. To be fair, I don't even actually know if these incidents ARE on my DAC report. I just know the job I applied for somehow pulled up this information, so they either spoke to my old employer or it's on my report. I ordered my dac report yesterday so hopefully I will see if it's actually on it or not.

I don't know, but the company denied you due to the incidents, so you may need a second chance company.
I don't write the rules on that.

Some companies hire with those 3 incidents though. Which state do you live in?

So far only 1 company has denied me because of it. They said I needed 18months safe driving, which is longer than I've even been driving. I live in Georgia, looking for regional or local work, 15 months experience

With 15 mos. experience, your golden.
Depending on where you are in Georgia, there's probably plenty of local jobs.
Which city/town are you near. Probably some drivers on this forum can give you some leads.
    Do you have endorsements?
