That's great, keep us posted. Get your 1 year experience, keep your driving record clean, and then go linehaul for a LTL freight company.Grouch, Speed_Drums and ThomasTrucker21 Thank this.

Do linehaul drivers touch freight? I haven’t really done to much research on It. Was gonna look at going southeast regional after my year is up but liked the thought of doing linehaul to ease the stress on my girlfriend if she can make It through my OTR phase lol

No, Linehaul drivers do not touch freight, it's one of the easiest driving jobs in the industry (in my opinion). They only run terminal to terminal (drop and hook). You will also have good benefits. Most Linehaul drivers make $80K - $120K a year, depending on their route, or if they run teams. Or get 2.5 years experience and go to Walmart, they make $85K - $120K, and you get more vacation time off VS the LTL freight companies, which you will have less vacation time, but either way, keep your driving record clean, and doors will open up in your career.ThomasTrucker21 Thanks this.
