Visor lights went out and I found a frayed wire. Took out the stuff iver the dash to feed more wire through visor hole and patched up wiring. Lights still didn't work, so I went through the box checking fuses. Got lights working again but now when I turn the key on my digital display goes to all dashes. Tried kicking the throttle 3X to see if there was a code but got nothing. As far as I know, I didn't step on any wires under the hood, just the valve cover. The lift pump doesnt work either...that's the first thing I checked when engine cranked but wouldn't start. Here's a picture of my display 16029807921278999808134375903375.jpg

I'd recheck the wiring in the area you were working in. Looks to me like maybe the ECM isn't powering up.

I agree with above. Knocked off a main power cable somewhere that was weak? Give a good look over wherever you went.

    Is there an ECM fuse?

I found a 50A and a 60A on the firewall but those seem to big for that application

Checked all the connectors, they seem to be plugged in properly. It has "road relay 4" on it and all those connections seem okay, too.

The blank dashes are a common glitch with both Peterbilt and KW many models, doesn’t matter what engine, there was an update to fix them years ago but it never really fixed them.
Sometimes if you turn off the key for a few minutes until everything is asleep then open your door and they will work properly again. Rarely will they stay blank for more than a day

    D.Tibbitt and HoneyBadger67 Thank this.

Having the door open, numbers show. With the key on, though, all I get is dashes
