Overhead [value adjustment] on a MX13?

    Dealer, Cummins or cat or Detroit. Or a good shop. It's all the same if the guy knows what he's doing.

    I only asked because I've had bad experiences in shops like so many others and was hoping maybe the cummins guys would be more professional than a random MHC.

    Have a fleet with approximately 30 MX-13's, EPA 10's, 13's and 17's. I run first overhead around 50,000. I check/set @ DPF cleaning interval of 250,000. Did one last week that had over 500,000 on it and only adjusted one exhaust valve that was slightly tight. Takes me average of two hours, some chassis are quicker and depends how many phone calls I get! If unsure of last time, piece of mind is priceless.

    We ran the first overhead on our MX at a bit under 100K, as per the book, and the dealer looked at me like I had two heads. Never heard of such a thing. Makes you wonder.
