I do worry about feeling rushed in traffic. Taking my time and being thorough is something I'll keep in mind.
Ty for sharing your perspective and your advice with me! I keep adding these videos you all have recommended to my YouTube. -
Trucking_Surfer Thanks this.

But, once you get behind the wheel and drive them for a few hours, they feel smaller. When you are behind the wheel, they do not feel as big. -
Truck stops are for Fuel, Shower, sleep, and occasionally food. I do prefer sleeping in rest areas in some locations. I avoid sleeping in any inner city areas other than the occasional shipper or receiver. Your more likely to find me sleeping at a livestock auction yard than an inner city truck stop.
I love the Rockies... Born and raise there... Lived there all my life, dont imagine I'll ever leave.
Yeah I occasionally have time to sight see... But I rarely do, because if I have extra time I take advantage of it to catch up on sleep.
Snow and ice to me is not a big deal, but I grew up with it, learned to drive in it, been stuck in it, worked cattle in it, walked in it up to my thighs for distances I care not to remember. I prefer to drive at night, especially during winter, for many reasons... Not least of which is that most of the type of drivers that truly scare me usually don't drive at night or in bad weather. And if I do make a bad mistake I've got a better chance of killing myself than killing someone else, because there is little to no traffic.
Trucking isnt a job... Some say its a life style... I say Trucking is infectious, once its in your blood you'll never did yourself of it. If you catch the trucking bug you will never feel right doing anything else... That I promise.Speed_Drums, JolliRoger and Lisa9 Thank this. -
It's about a ranch in Montana the size of Rhode Island. He fights for his older way of life, and against modernization like big banks, modernization, etc. I really enjoyed it.
Kevin Costner stars. He seems to do Western films well, if not much else. It's worth the $$. I recommend. There's also an Indian reservation nearby which adds to the complexity of the situation, which I enjoyed. Indians are really cool.Vic Firth and Cattleman84 Thank this. -
only one way to find out...........................
