After building stuff for 30+ years on my dime I can assure you that this is a pretty easy gig for me so I personally don't need any career advice from you but thanks anyway.

Yeah I hear you get to eat dog food over there instead of cat food at the blue star.
It looks like AUS bought into the container hauling agency. Austin as his foreign subagents just may take over Landstar completely. Most times I’m happy to not have the star on my Star anymore. Still haul for the same good agents though.

That’s right. Best LS advice ever right here, take the $500 gift card instead of the cruise.

Come on man - you know this is BS.

Look at this screenshot - and tell me - honestly, that there aren’t 10 different high paying loads literally ON MY DOORSTEP!

    06FC02EE-F7EF-48B3-BDE7-DC9F50BFEF7D.jpeg

Whether it’s consumer goods, plastic or rubber - it may be 40,000 lbs - or not, but these are REAL loads!

User666, exhausted379 and Cat sdp Thank this.

Don’t get us wrong here, many a true word is spoken in jest.

I’m hardly a cheerleader for the joint - sometimes I would rather folks find another avenue to their happiness, it may work for me right now, but ‘future returns are not guaranteed’ . . .

And @fortycalglock was one key input before I signed on here. For disclosure.

@Dave_in_AZ - never met him. He’s my surrogate @IluvCATS. Where did that guy ever go?

    I really oughta listen in.

    Let me guess -

“Stay loaded - minimize deadhead - take a junk rate and encourage trash cut and paste agents, in order to get you to a better area where you can take another AUS load that sounds good, but will wind up being a crap show “

    Rinse and repeat.

Oh, and fuel and tire discounts.

    How close am I?
