I have 15 years driving experience, and 4 years owner op leased on, but just recently started establishing my own authority. I hear new Authorities find it difficult finding work or good paying loads. Will I have these difficulties considering my experience? any info and advice is appreciated. Thank you

Depends on if you talk to a person or go through an app. Some apps will automatically Inform you “you do not qualify until you meet 30 (or whatever) days to qualify”

the age of the LLC won’t matter to them, but depending on who you talk to the experience level may help them decide. My experience has been when You talk to them in person they will ask a few questions and then Send a carrier package if they are allowed depending on their own requirements. There are definitely loads available for you out there.

I've never once had a broker ask me how much driving experience I have....

Ive only been on my own numbers a few weeks. So far no one cares about driving experience or age of the llc, only when did your numbers become active.

In the past month, I booked a dude who had had his MC active for a grand total of five days, and one who'd been active for two weeks. Depends on the brokerage. We don't have a minimum age requirement. We just require your CSA scores not to suck.

I wasnt trying to say a new MC cant get freight. Just answering the guys question from my experience. Ive got some pretty good loads, just takes a whole lot of phone calls to find out who will and wont work with you.

Most brokers don't seem to care. I am rocking in your same boat since I reinstated my authority. I have run into one broker who wouldn't give me a load because I lacked 90 days of authority. Most others said, "welcome back [sucker]."

So, a guy who throws some cash and buys a truck thinking, "I'm gonna start a trucking company" with no experience at all is okay to give loads to if he has his authority for 90 days. However, a guy with a spotless 20 year record can't be given a load? I know you already checked my CSA score...

There are so many other good brokers out there, I wouldn't worry about running into this problem. Just call on the next load. 90 days will be up before you know it.

I also remember being worried about not getting loads. Unnecessarily. I'd say only 1 out of 5 would not want to work with me. There's always C.H. Robinson, TQL to get the feet wet too.
