I have a 2018 cascadia freightliner with a dd15 automatic trans with 370k miles on it. I had a leak before but it was from a broken hose under the driver side but now I have no idea. I've been looking all around my truck but no noticeable leak or pool. When driving its fine. When I had them do a pressure test on it they couldn't find anything either and they said they tightened everything just in case but when I sit for my 10 hour I have to fill on pre trip. so its still leaking somewhere and my only guess is the heater core. Any guesses or help would be appreciated. And any suggestions for a good freightliner dealer or mechanic around the US would be also appreciated too. Thank you very much for any help or information!!!

Coolant/antifreeze smell in the cab with the heat on is normally and indication of heater core or hose connections to it. If the core is inside the cab check for wetness on the floor under the rubber mat and firewall insulation wherever the hvac box is. Usually passenger side.

That being said even dried up coolant residue left over from a past leak can give you a smell for a good while with the heated air blowing on it or through it.

Also. Forgot to mention. Turn the defrost on and see if it fogs up the windshield instead of clear it. If it does fog than that is coolant moisture being blown through the system.

Now there's a new trick. Another one for the brain toolbox. Makes sense to me anyway.
