they have good healthcare but a serious lack of medical equipment. My city hosted many Cuban doctors few years ago to train them on use of 2 shipping containers of medical equipment local hospital donated and shipped to Cuba

 

Why do you doubters always think people you disagree with are making stories up or "there must be more to the story" ? Like what? What else could there be to the story? She has a torn meniscus and two cysts in her knee and has been in agony for months.No word on an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon,wheelchairs ,painkillers,braces,physio all paid for by her.Again this is supposed be the best healthcare system in the world,you know the one we pay an outrageous amount of taxes for.

My old lady had her cartilage done twice.
My son has had his hip replaced in the last year.
In 1994 I went to the doctor on Saturday morning and had my appendix removed by 3 pm the same day.
on the attitude and my experience is different than yours SORRY.

My Italian girlfriend and her parents had dual citizenship between the US and Italy.

When her mother developed cancer they instantly flew over to the US and Joyfully paid for her overpriced treatment here in the US instead of dealing with the Italian free healthcare.

We negotiated the bill down to about 30% with a full cash payment.

They are Swiss residents now and the Swiss know how to run a government healthcare plan . but Switzerland is tiny and wealthy and has strict borders.
