I see that last one the opposite way. My eyes are very light sensitive and I feel safer with tint. Keep in mind I'm not trying to justify dark tint. Mine isn't very dark. Also, I've got the left arm skin cancer from 25+ years behind the wheel. Keeping me alive is keeping me safe.

It really depends on the truck and how high you sit too. I don't sit real high in the seat and my rig has a really tall windshield so I see fine. I know it's subjective. I certainly wouldn't try to talk anyone in to something they feel is unsafe. I don't see how some of the hoods do it. They've got more than half the windshield covered with chrome and you can't see through that like you can tint.
