So no tags? I drove mine from Staunton VA to York PA when I first bought it. No tags. I just got temp insurance that was good for 24 hours. Stayed off the interstate as much as possible while dodging the scales on a Sunday afternoon.

Yeah I’ll have temp tags to bring it home. I’m signing all paperwork and actually buying on Friday but I think I may wait and get a ride back out to Ohio and drive it back early on Sunday morning before everyone is awake.

Don't try to cheat. I got stopped by a DPS moving my truck to the company I was leasing onto.

Be prepared. Keep a $2 logbook.

I disregarded the expert advice given here saying i didn't need one.

I told the trooper that, and he laughed.

Easiest clean level 2 I ever received.

Dave do you think I’ll need my last 7 days logs also?

I filled out one page with the prior 7 days off. It was a legal log book, and made his day.

It was the only thing he asked for besides my license.

When he stopped laughing, he said," I'm giving you a clean level 2. Be right back."

    He checked nothing else.

I would be more worried about having liability insurance if you're driving it on the road somewhere.

You need liability insurance, your physical damage don’t matter to anyone but you.

He's not going to get any form of registration without general liability insurance.

You said above you were getting temp tags. PA doesn't issue temp tags for an out of state vehicle and you're not getting them without liability insurance no matter what. All physical damage does is pay for your equipment in the even of an accident. Liability is what is required by law to operate on public roads as it protects others you may hit.
