I swear they must hire psychics or something at these trucking companies anymore. The minute I left my company after three years I get emails daily with offers. One thing I’ve noticed is most of them seem to be offer me a starting cents per mile in the upper 50s and a few even over $.60 per mile. Is this the new trend? Now trust me, I know the hype and lies recruiters use, etc. But these are Genuine offers. Like come in and get started at 58-60 cents per mile. I chatted with one recruiter and he openly admitted they’re desperate for drivers and very shorthanded.
Off to greener pastures, is OTR heading over .60vpm? Going rate

A C.L. ad here today starts you at .70 per mile.
It's a 1099 Chicago company so I take those type offers w a grain of salt.
$0.70 CDL TRUCK DRIVER NEEDED **NEW TRUCKS** - transportation - job...rachi, Brettj3876 and Lennythedriver Thank this. -
That’s still not that great unless you’re getting 3000 miles a week. (Probably not). At a more realistic 2000 it’s $1200 a week gross. Not enough for me to bother living in a truck stop all week and driving their pile of junk.
D.Tibbitt, rachi, Hazmat Cat and 1 other person Thank this. -
