It’s that time of year again. I just picked up a new set. Anyone ever use a 4x4 block to lift the inner dual tire to simplify the process? I’ve seen those chain em up products but I’ll never spend $100 on it. Was thinking of cutting a 4x4 into a 2’ block then maybe cutting an angle on one side to make a ramp.

Y'all better off throwing 3 railers, IMO. Power out on a hill it's hell to get going again. From my experience.

Why make an extra two trips in and out of the cab? Blocks of wood.....pfffft!!!!!! Just learn to do it the efficient way, you don't need blocks of wood....

Last winter we had a guy chain up five times between Redding and Arcata. He said his knuckles were dragging the ground by the time he got through. -
No one ever taught me to chain...

LOL...My sons and I just got done getting in all the firewood for four families. I put myself in charge of running the splitter....just the valve handle, the grandkids do the grunt work.Last edited: Nov 7, 2020
