The original poster was an owner op. I'd like to hear what kind of money he was quoted. As far as wasting time, I get both sides. You need haz mat, but want to no if its worth getting. Should be able to have a 3-5 minute conversation before going thru the hassle of getting.

Their loads always paid well to me.... I used to work for another carrier that they would give the loads to that they couldn’t cover....this was years ago tho.

I’m sure now they are like everyone else and don’t want hired trucks making more than 7-8 hundred a day...

Mr Kelgar50, what all information can you share on the driver part? I just submitted an application for an OTR position out of Tucker,GA. I think it's the closest location to me with not knowing what all they have in Greer,SC. I have 20 years of experience and haz n tank endorsement. 3 years or better hauling chemicals in tanker but this is a dry van position. Be safe and thanks for any information.

    Clean Harbors Recruiting Update 10/22/2020

I received another call from these people today wanting me to reconsider joining their company. Evidently the former recruiting crew is no longer with this outfit. I declined for obvious reasons which I expressed to the newbie. Five months later they still cannot fill this position and need to revisit the bad decisions they made in the past. That should give you a better idea of what you will be in for if you attempt to do business with these people. Go ahead and apply with this top heavy outfit but don't say I didn't try to warn you.

Mark Twain once said; "It is easier to deceive someone than it is to convince someone they have been deceived."

I went ahead and went a different route. Found an outfit that is paying me $0.80 a mile running a new glider tied to a 53' stoga. Turning 2800 to 3700 miles a week and home every 10 to 14 days with getting through during week if in the area. It's 1099 pay but best money I've made in a long time.

Dale thompson and Dennixx Thank this.

    Good for you.
That's about what I'd need per mile for a 1099 too.

Sad you had a bad experience with them. I'm one of the people who would drop everything to work for them if they called. I've only heard good things from them so far.

They’re on a hiring spree for drivers. You’ve just got to stay on them.

Signed on at 56 in 2020, would still be there but the ol’ girl just wasn’t up for it… They offered me 1.17 all miles mt and loaded, plus 100% fuel surcharge, $45 hr demurrage after first 2, with a choice of two dedicated routes drop & hook pulling their trailers, and running under their authority, of course cargo liability insurance was on them… return to house weekly.

Sorry but those are welfare rates…… and I’ve done plenty of their work as a outside carrier and their work always paid very well…….
