Hey RedBud - Good to Hear there's a recent Driver Solutions student out here. How's it going thus far ? I'm due to attend DS in mid Nov. And the recruiter told me I'd be driving for PAM. Anything you can provide me would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm attending Asheboro, but may not do the stay there nights thing .... let me know if you are and whats up with that pls. Thanks !

FTA is a great training center to get your cdl training the instructors are very helpful and will teach you what u need to the pass the dmv test ,also they will tell a few helpful hints like saving money on the road and saving your company fuel ! i live close so i didnt stay at school but it is real close to anything you need while you are there..im getting with the driver trainer from pam next week and am ready to get on the road!!!!

ok i have finished my driver training with Pam driver trainer super nice guy helped me learn how to do a good job and the right way to do it..its was an eye opening jaw dropping time lol . work has slowed and alot of us are sitting waiting to upgrade to 1st seat driver i hear this is slow time anyway and with the economy in bad shape it is a bit slower, but im ready to get the wheels turning and lookforward to logging the miles and paying the bills!!!

Congrats on finishing your training! :) My husband just signed on with Decker in October 2008. They've been awesome..understand our financial and family situation and treat him like a person and not a number if you know what I mean. They really work with him.

He heard through the grapevine that P.A.M just laid off 70 drivers (don't quote me..not sure how reliable that info is). His trainer had also told him if he got his Hazmat it would really help him get loads faster. He got it last weekend and within 4 days they gave him a dedicated run so that was good info for sure. lol

I don't get it, lol. Pardon me for not understanding... But, you were sent home and basically just laid off?? Was there any reason for it?

I have just been told by my DS recruiter that I'm going to PAM so I believe they are hiring. You may want to call PAM. I was supposed to go to USA but at the last minute I was told that PAM gave them the final approval.
