Tightening side panel latches without buying new kits?

    Any tricks to tightenjng up the side panel latches without buying the new latch kit?

    The cost of the kit, plus shipping etc is quite spendy.....gotta be a diy oit there?

    I have stuffed a rag into the groove in the rubber bushing, that tightens it up for a while, until the rag gets too thin, then just replace the rag. You can use other types of fabric, even paper towels. You just need a small piece, about the same width as the bushing, it needs be pushed into the groove by the latch.
