    They changed the cab so it tilted backwards.

    Imagine the ease the mechanics would have at fixing trucks if the hood opens forward and the cab opens rearward.

    The manufacturers would balk at that as they would make no money fixing difficult trucks that trucking companies would have no time for as they need to drive to make money.

    Wouldn't require much.
    Technology is there allready.
    Just some out off the box thinking and re-engineering some parts.

    Back in the 1980's Sisu (Finland) had conventionals with forward opening hoods, and forward tilting cab (more practical when there is a body behind the cab)
