Would like to get some insight from some of you on here. I’ve been told not to pull trailer emergency brakes in the cold and also my trainer told me that if It’s snowing when I shut down for the day the pull up and back in a couple times to cool the tires down to prevent ice building up.
I’m from Florida so anything will be much appreciated lol

well one thing comes to mind, when parking, be sure NOT to park backed in on a down slope, which would mean you would have to leave in the morning pulling up-slope, which will be a problem if the lot ices up overnight. I've seen guys chaining up to get out of the parking lot !

If the headlights or taillights are reflecting off the road, its slick!
PS-After a few years of Winter driving and you think you got it. That's when you'll find out you don't. Never disrespect mother nature.86scotty, joshuapowell61, nredfor88 and 10 others Thank this. -
Use anti gel in your fuel tanks if you’re using that southern fuel in the north.

A thin layer of loose snow often has a bit more "fluff" for the tires to bite into vs hardpack snow.
Watch for shaded areas on sunny days. (Such as when driving through rock bluffs). The road exposed to sunlight may be dry but the shaded areas may still have ice.
Cruise control is a big no-no. Jakes are to be used with extreme caution. -
Only drive in the southern states and the west coast in the winter. Works for me.

Just because the super truckers are blowing your doors off does not mean YOU need to speed up
