My turn at the dealership... yesterday I went to pickup a load in Crete heading to Hartwell ... pulled up to the guard shack and turned off the Truck so we could talk at the window and it wouldn’t start back up again. Someone at the office looked at the codes and said it was something to do with a Fuel Rail (sp)... so they arraigned a tow to Lincoln to get it looked at... hoping it doesn’t turn out to be too long but ya, we all know how that normally turns out. Luckily I have friends to visit here in Lincoln so it’s not a complete loss. Sneak in a little visit with them and play with the kids.

looking at either sending me to recover a truck or maybe some local work while we wait.

    fun fun fun

Hopefully it’s not the same issue we had for awhile on several trucks. The fuel pump was basically coming apart internally and sending shavings throughout the entire fuel system. It happened on a company truck and my lease truck, both times it was a five day repair.

Company truck was a DD15 lease is a DD13. The problem is the fuel pump itself, it was a batch of fuel pumps. Freightliner and Detroit knew of the problem. I think we had at least five or six trucks fleet wide that had the issue.

looks like Freightliner in kc screwed something up... they broke one thing so it wouldn’t shock me off they broke something else and didn’t say anything...

I’m hoping it’s something simple, and not a hidden issue within the engine.
