The Kansas City Police Department says that trucks just keep battering a low bridge nicknamed the “truck stop.”

Police in Kansas City, Missouri, say that three trucks hit the Independence Avenue Bridge at Wilson Avenue in less than a week, even though the bridge is clearly marked at 12 feet, 0 inches.

The bridge is owned by the Kansas City Terminal Railway and was built more than 100 years ago. The company says that the bridge averages two strikes per month.

The first bridge strike happened on Sunday, November 15.

Hitting a clearly marked bridge should be a CDL forfeiture...

There is one in Louisville that is marked 13'4" and even though I have been under it several times to get on I-65 I still slow way down and look in the mirrors to be sure. I can't imagine what those guys are doing just running through that underpass with lights and signage. The number 12 should light your brain up immediately.
