Injector/wiring ground problem? Mxs c15 cat 2006

Me too, I want to know the fix. I have spent thousands with no results.

 

Do the signal wires go to the stud with the green dot or the orange dot

 

I'm having this same issue with my C15. Did anyone ever figure out there problem. Maybe give me somewhere to start. I've changed injectors, harness inside and out, ecm. Changed rear injector harness twice

 

I did read on another post, that it's high voltage melting the wire harness. It stated that the correct trim files need to be updated in the ecm, or the issue would continue. Maybe this can correct the issue.

 

Same issue accept I did out of frame over haul, then ran 400 miles all good accept iva issues so I decided to replace both internal injector harnesses. Now when I start it, it runs goood for 5 seconds then it starts missing and blow white smoke... codes 72 and 73... so is it a bad new harness??? Or is it cuz my trim files in the ecm don't match the injectors for each cylinder because I forgot to keep track of wich injector went to which cylinder?? (But it ran fine for those 400 miles aside from power debate cuz of iva code)

Troubleshoot the faults. Trim files wont make it run noticably different.

 

I have gotten bad VVA reman housings from Cat bad out of the box, but never a bad harness.

 

Cat is junk. Built to fail technology.

 

Think your confused with Cummins! It all fails, puts food in my belly

 

Red, Grey, Yellow, Green.........

They all break.

If anyone build a truck or engine that didnt break they would go out of business.

 

I had a bad out of the box harness on a sdp. Failed the tug test on an iva.
Crazy one off thing however.
