I should have been more clear on this bit of info. I guess it was sort of a known, maybe it was just a local thing.

I graduated high school in the Bay Area in 1967, the summer of love. FM radio was really coming into it's own, as for a long time FM in car radios had very limited stereo reception, if any. By the late 60's, FM was hot and changes in programming were happening all the time.
Sometimes KSAN would team up with another FM station and both would broadcast the same event but different sounds, so instead of stereo it would be in quad. Then the FCC started whining about it. Some good memories of those times.

Have you ever asked yourself if you're the man your father was when he was the age you are now?

My HS days were in in the 70’s. Spent a lot of time with a number of people in the industry. Was one of the youngest people to hold a class 3, back when that was needed to run an FM broadcast. I wont mention names, but if you were around the bay area in the mid/late 70’s and are familiar with Captain crunch and crew, and the mobile home in the mountains, then you know the crew I was mixed up with. Needless to say, I no longer have any license and can never get one.

I know exactly who you are talking about. I lived in the East Bay from birth until 1988.

I am in the throes of a post-Thanksgiving meal food coma.

Our son was here, we had a great time.

No political bs, no arguments, just food and love.

I'm gonna have a nap, then maybe get up and have another piece of pie........
