Hello im Wondering if there any "second chance companies" that will hire after a rollover. Little back story never had an accident before in my life and I'm 29 years old and a company fired me over a rollover. Long story short I was making a right curve at 60 mph on the highway in a 70 in the right lane (curve speed 65) had a pedestrian walking down the right lane during the time of the STL protests and swerved left to avoid them, Ended up taking the ditch in the process but the ditch was too steep for the trailer to come back out of with it leaning to the left to stay upright. managed to keep tractor upright and broke sliding fifth wheel in process trailer on its side but not rupsured. Company called it at fault accident is there any chance of continuing my career even with the crappiest company around?

A few drivers on this forum had serious problems and traveling carnivals hired them as driver.
Doubt they're hiring right now though with the virus and cold weather in play.
I have a list of a few of them if interested.

At this point with bills piling up and no other work history (that I can put on paper) I'm willing to work for anybody that'll get the bills payed

    Tough spot to be in.
Craigslist has lots of 1099 companies out of Chicago that probably hire you.
    No taxes withheld.

What are the pros and cons of working for what y'all call a 1099 company? I have never heard of those.

Some are ok, but many are not.
Only pro I know of is some 1099 companies will hire drivers no W-2 companies would hire in a million years.
That pro is only a pro for the particular driver, not for the industry as a whole.
