I already posted about truck stop Lawyers, this is a new topic- truck stop Cowboys.

Truck stop Cowboys- you know who I'm talking about...guys with cowboy boots, jeans, a western shirt, cowboy hat walking around a truck stop like they own the place.

You see a lot of 'em down in Texas and Oklahoma. Also in the upper Midwest Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas. Quite a few in the desert Southwest and I have even seen a few in California.

They always seem to be walking around like they own the place and want to get into somebody's business. Checking out other guys trucks etc...

What's the best way to deal with these varmints? Ignore them? Shoo them away like flies? Or simply engage them in conversation?

Looking for responses from experienced truckers with 3+ years of 'verifiable' experience.

They are only one of many species you see lurking through the truck stops these days.

This is why I say it’s vitally important to always carry a few chrome lug nut covers in your pocket. This way when the aforementioned cowboy begins their approach towards you, you can roll them across the parking lot like dice. Smile and watch the cowboy chase em like a pit bull going after a filet.

that's actually normal attire for some.

kind of like the sweat pants and flip flop crowd or the shorts in -5 weather.

    takes all kinds.
