LOL ... w/ 2x2 hitch receiver... is that the size on the front of the Trucks? I’m surprised we haven’t seen some guy slap it on the front with his lights on so he can see what he’s doing... as well as everyone else too... LOL

I like to read while doing my daily do. Lights would be a great idea.

So my bill at the Freightliner dealer was $8000.00, luckily I have the extended warranty which will cover the EGR cooler, and nox sensor, which should bring it down into the $5000.00 range. In the last three weeks that’s $8500.00 in repairs, I guess it’s time to get that maintenance account built back up to a comfortable level.

2016 with 742,345 on the clock. I have about 5 more months until it’s paid off, my goal is to try and get another 6 months out of it after it’s paid off, and then trade it in on something newer. I probably won’t lease another truck from FCC simply because it will have all the nanny safety features on them. (They didn’t start implanting all the safety garbage on their fleet until 2018/2019) In 25 years I’ve never had a chargeable accident or ticket, I don’t need a bunch of annoying safety garbage beeping at me constantly.

I’m on the fence for the same reasons. After the safety meeting where Tim said they were installing side cameras on new truck kinda put me off. 31 years with no chargeable accident and it’s not by “accident”. I’m considering buying used from a dealer I own and then leasing it on....
