I did fuel delivery and worked along side many guys with what ever paperwork they needed to drive. Some hard workers some absolute idiots, just like the general population.
The Legal immigrant surge that is coming will hurt drivers pay. Take a drivers course and get to working a ok job right away. Of course many will take this rout. Many more qualified drivers willing to work at a lower wage brings down all truck drivers wages. Simple economics.

Nope! you just need a H-2 B visa. Immigrate to the US as a Truck Driver (SOC 53-3030)
Those at the top don't give a rats butt about you, or your family. They only worship the almighty dollar.
Giving low pay to unqualified illegal immigrants to do the work you used to do will become the norm now.
Just look at what they did with H-1B visa's and the tech industry.
You can work for far less, or go stand in a bread line.

If you have work visa how does that make you illegal?
Last time I checked people working in tech industry make pretty good money.
They can’t find enough qualified people to do the job so they bring people from other countries.
Same reason people come here to drive trucks. Not enough interest in truck driving.

There is plenty of interest here in truck driving. How else could over 500,000 new CDLs get issued every year. It's just that with the slave wages and crappy working conditions at many companies they just don't last long.

Yeah, it's funny. Almost all the stations we've been doing the load just fits. And they just asked for volunteers to work Christmas!?!?!? Pa is shutting down due to China flu, until after the 1st, so I don't know what they expect all the extra help to do.

Did you miss the fact that @ErieMcDreary limited his comment to only illegal immigrants? He didn't blame immigrants across the board.

He was mentioning work visas, therefore I asked how having a work visa is making you illegal.
You can’t obtain CDL if you’re illegal immigrant.

    Maybe the "last time you checked" was a long time ago? Not the only place or time it happened, but;
Pink Slips at Disney. But First, Training Foreign Replacements. (Published 2015)

Again, according to "the last time you checked" "you had to be U.S resident to drive a truck, I simply pointed out that you didn't need to be, you jumped to a different conclusion.
    Maybe you should check again.

He didn't mention work visas in the message that you replied to. In fact he didn't mention them until a subsequent message.
