So I’m in my first week of training..And my Trainer is a trainer from hell..His dog ####s on the floor every day of the week. And has the nerve to
ask me to clean it up.My trainer never takes a shower and always stinks daily. He wears the same shirt he wore for a whole week since we started covered with dog hair. His truck is like a junkyard it is ridiculously junkie and nasty in his truck. My Trainer gets mad when I use hand sanitizer..He says hand sanitizer can make you sick..The irony of that statement..Yes hand sanitizer not the dog #### on the floor or the fact he never wears a mask at truck stops or that he never wash his hands after he sneezes and or taking a crap..SANITIZER!! I clean the dashboard in his truck with wet wipes..He calls me a germaphobe because I wipe everything down like the steering wheel turn signals and other things we need for driving in the truck..He also says racist things at times..But that’s not the worst thing..Every single night before he goes to sleep he is under my bunk MASTER-BAITING...It really disgusts me and I feel sexually harassed..I can’t get a good night sleep because it keeps me up at night knowing I’m sharing a space with someone who is master-baiting every night a bunk below me..I hate that I have to hear it every night..I didn’t sign up to be in a space with a Trainer to master-bait while I’m living in the truck with him..Should I tell my company about him doing this every night because I feel completely disgusted..As a man I feel like sexual harassment is not as respected from men unlike how it is for women..Which is giving me second thoughts about reporting him..Will they believe me? Because I know if confronted my trainer will lie and say he hasn’t been doing that..However I don’t want some new trainee to go through what I have been through this week..So I feel compelled to tell them about what he his doing with trainees on the company’s truck...Any Advice????

Notify your designated contact at the company that you would like a different trainer. If they ask why, calmly explain what you just posted here. I'm sure if any company was aware that a trainer was conducting themselves as you outlined above, they would want to know about it. Good luck.

Report the freakish SOB and get out of that truck. A trainer shouldn't be allowed to have a dog onboard, let alone be doing the other things that you've mentioned. Call whoever you need to at your employer and get the heck out of there. If they don't act quickly, quit and find a new company. There are plenty out there looking for drivers right now.

BTW........I was under the impression that a Master-Baiter was a Journeyman Level fisherman. I might be wrong.

I'd say you've got 2 options, suck it up and power through and just get it done and over with or ask for a different trainer. Or quit. Now I agree someone that is a trainer should be held to higher standards than to keep a filthy truck and to master-bate nightly with you in the truck. Maybe recommend he tries doing such things in the shower which he could really use. But I dont think that would qualify as sexual harassment. Just tell him to knock it off.
And on his remarks on hand sanitizer, while I dont necessarily agree with him saying it will make you sick indo understand his logic. Being a filthy pig, eating boogers and dirt will probably help you build a stronger immune system, if you are otherwise healthy. While using sanitizer or washing constantly can weaken your immune system by not allowing bad things to enter your body, thus you aren't building anti-bodies to those things.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Had a trainee like that but worse.Trainee was a tranny...dug in it's nose non stop and passed gas 24/7...and was petrified of showers.Left it in Queens.

Wow, well, this should be a stark lesson for anyone that does the "trainer" thing. Good point on the harassment, women stealing all the thunder on that these days. Like if you're a man, you should just suck it up. This is what is probably out there for trainers, it's not a job for most, fact is, it's probably the lowest of the low when it comes to trucking. Sorry to hear all this, and if it's true, by all means, get away from there, and find a good company that will train you with competent trainers, or like we did, try and BS your way in, except, with rules today, that's probably not an option. If this IS the best that the industry can offer, we're in rougher shape than I thought. Best of luck, get out of there, PRONTO!!

Start master baiting when he does and moan his name, might get him to stop. If not i guess you got a circle jerk partner.

You should have jumped ship already. No need to wait until you get to a terminal. You're in danger.
Don't get into a physical fight with him because you will likely go to prison if he gets killed. Try to record him too. Post the name of the company and truck number so we can call them and complain. You're probably not the first one he has done this too, and you won't be the last unless he gets blackballed from the industry.
Record him, including the states where you were and GET A LAWYER because I think you can sue them and get some money. The company is negligent.Another Canadian driver, snowmantrucking101 and Lumper Humper Thank this. -
