Had a conversation with a duo parked next to me. I casually asked the driver had he noticed his air compressor cycling constantly? He said what? I dunno ask my trainer. “Trainer” came out of the passenger side and wanted me to quit talking to his trainee as HE was the teacher. So I asked him about the compressor and he said yeah, so it always does that.... I weep for the motoring public.

Maybe this trainer was "grooming" this trainee for a little more than driving and saw you as a possible "block"?

Are you referring to the air dryer purging constantly?

At a former company, they had a solid training program. If selected to be a driver trainer, you were required to attend a class on how to train people. In addition to the class, they also had a training book that both the trainer and student driver had to complete. Sadly, I don’t think that is the standard for most companies now.

As far as the air compressor cycling goes, I was in Oak Grove, Missouri and a landstar driver parked next to me with his air dryer cycling constantly. I was cleaning my windows, so I say “So I hear you Landstar guys make good money.” Him “Oh yeah, I’m making bank bro” Me “ Well if your making bank, why can’t you get that air dryer fixed?” Needless to say he didn’t like that.

Some trainers think they're seasoned university professors teaching rocket science.
