Ya, totally possible... but if we are running 6-9 hours behind I’m fairly sure someone would be expecting that we should be communicating that info to someone. But if already backed up making several phone calls to their carriers probably just compounds the problem. Just wondering if anyone else was hitting it too.

stay safe in the northeast... looks like a big system forming up that way and ya, PA will more than likely shut commercial traffic down.

To answer your original question, I haven’t yet run into that situation.

Oh dang... just saw PA is expecting 19-21” of snow... with the rest of New England getting 8-10”... dang... be dang careful if you are running up there. They say that system is running fast so maybe they can get out there and get the roads cleared fairly quickly too.

stay safe... nothing wrong with shutting down and waiting it out if needed... give them room to clear the roads.

Time to call out the dot to the scene...these clowns are getting worse out here... they are the first ones to complain about further regulation... That fool right there needs to be put out of service

F2020! Shutdown in Hebron, Ohio lastnight, got up at 0200 checked the weather and the road conditions in Pennsylvania. Rolled out and was looking good to make to make my delivery today. I come off the Turnpike in Breezewood and start heading down that long grade on I70 towards the Maryland line, dash lights up, I’m losing coolant, I just get off to a safe spot on the icy shoulder before the truck shuts off. Open the hood, see that the coolant appears to be coming from a hose leading to the heater core on
my newly installed EGR cooler. Call Shane and he says I can shut the butterfly valves off to the block and that should get me back up and running, albeit with no heat. I’m currently at the T/A in Greencastle, Pa. getting it repaired. I will deliver in the morning. Happy Happy Joy Joy!

I wonder if that bill can be sent to the shop who did the work and demand they reimburse..

My thoughts exactly, they did $5k+ in repairs, but couldn’t replace a $16.00 hose.

The issue I have been having is too much time on loads. My last two weekend loads to Ellabell GA from Lincoln. Not a huge deal but have been doing some sitting the last two Sundays, but whatever.
