Heading for Memphis tomorrow. Leaving at 7:00 AM from Hagerstown, Md. Taking I81 to I40 down. Seems pretty straight forward. Delivery off Thomas St. outside of Memphis. Just checking to see if anyone has experienced anything oddball on this route. Hoping weigh stations will mostly be closed. Should be a smooth run. Thanks.

A lot of stuff is off Danny Thomas..
Best find somewhere safe to stay in Memphis, not loves or pilot, new fuel stop off Shelby dr is good, not to far from 51/Danny Thomas

Thanks for the info. Drop off is off Thomas Rd. Just off I40. near Frito Lay. Hopefully that area isn’t too bad.

I actually live in Memphis. It's pretty easy to make the run. Nobody will bother you. If you dont bother anybody, they won't bother you. Dont do anything to draw attention to yourself and you'll be fine.

If you can get to the truck stop on I 40, exit 35 I believe it is, that'll be your best bet. I dont think it's a good idea to try to look for overnight parking in north Memphis unless you're familiar with the area. I have a few hideouts when I deliver or go home. I tell non residents to park outside of the city and make a delivery during daylight unless there ain't no choice. That last shell truck stop is the last one on 40 before you come into town.

Winchester VA, Roanoke VA, Greeneville TN and possibly Knoxville TN scales will be open. They’ve been doing a weekend road closure on I-40 in Jackson TN for bridge replacement, may wanna check into that. I too prefer to stay outside city and head in in the morning. We have a lot of trouble with seals being broken and doors opened on trailer even if they don’t bother the truck

I used to live in Memphis but I got stolen. No one knows where I am now. Probably in a pawn shop somewhere in Frayser.

Personally I don't care to drive I-81. But sometimes there's no choice. Slow and steady I guess. There's just so much truck traffic....
