No amount of vibrators would have helped with that cotton seed... since it still had fiber on it the trip turn it into one mas wover block of cotton and seeds... A guy was in the pit with a pitch fork while I was on top of the load trying to break it loose. When it did break loose I took a trip straight down through the doors and into the pit. I was glad he pulled the pitch fork back when he heard me yell
OHHHH S&*^*&^T!!!!!!!! Needless to say I told him I'd wait for the next one to have a hole in there before I went up top.. I also made a quick text to the broker that simply read......Cot Seed..NEVER AGAIN! :biggrin_25516::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25513:

I enjyed my midwest runs so I look forward to the fresh start..Had the truck tested and the #5 injector isn't doing a thing.Of course it couldn't have been the 1,2 or 3.:biggrin_25513: Being a 9200 in will all be under the cab .... I'll start tearing it down tommorrow since I can't get the injector till Monday...

I would say you were very lucky didn't get hurt when you slid into pit. Probably because it was cotton softened the blow. I've heard of guy's getting hurt sliding down in the hopper...broken legs and worse.

To bad about your injector but not bad all things considered. You can do the work yourself which helps besides being home doing it.

Can you not take the inside engine cover off and get to the rear head from inside the truck?

I didn't break anything but when I started to fall I grabed the bow, with my momentum it was to much to hang on so I strained the tendons and muscles in my right shoulder. I was sore as heck for several days. But all in all very lucky.

Yes the doghouse is a familiar spot for me in this truck. I had to go in that way to do the rear cam follower gaasket so I am intimate with all of the bolts that hold it together.:yes2557::biggrin_2559:

Wife found injectors for $279.00 Almost $250 cheaper than the dealer and $150 less than my local injector shop.

What do they get charged if they can't fill the train, or it is delayed? They put in two 100 car rail spurs within 15 miles of where I live a couple years ago & remember hearing all the rumors/large numbers, but was always curious of the real deal & how that all worked.

I'm not real sure. A guy at the elevator said it was very expensive but he didn't say how much. I do believe he said they have to load the train wihin a day or two. I know from watching they don't waste any time loading a train even if the trucks have to wait.

This is a 25 to 35 car unit I'm tallking about. Cargill doesn't have enough room for 100 car unit. We load the trucks where the train loads at Cargill. Number of years ago a train backed into a truck that was loading...trucker got a new trailer out of that mess. Train ran a stop signal the elevator had put out.

You are still going to be with Eclipse but with a new leasor? I don't understand.

Glad you are getting a new trailer, at least you won't be running around with a hump in your rear hopper anymore. lol

It has been awhile so forgive if my memory fails, but thinking there were two co.'s that put in a 110 car spur each because of some break they could get at that number. But yeah it had to be loaded in x time or they would be penalized each second of the clock. I had thought when the two companies were trying to out build one another they would both be broke, but last I knew, both are running.
Johnson Grain in Waverly, IL & Farmer's Elevator in Lowder, IL. They are literally two miles apart. With that much cash floating about there were alot of rumors circulating, so you never know what truly is & what is just talk.

I will no longer be running under Freight Pro Transport. As I do not have my own authority, I have leased on with another carrier that has a contract with the same company, Eclipse.

As to the hump I will just be happy to not have the stares and have to explain that it was that way when I got it.... :biggrin_25511::yes2557:. I'm sure that on more than one occasion people were thinking "Dang!!! What a rookie to turn out so quick he beat his trailer in!!!:biggrin_25513: Hope he doesn;t try parking next to me!!!!!!I better leave before he does if I want to keep my hood":biggrin_25522::yes2557::biggrin_2559:
