You hook up an air supply to the trailer, then open a valve that lets that air into the barrel. The air pressure, usually around 25-30 psi, pushes the product out of the trailer at a fairly fast rate. Can offload a full load of caustic or acid I. About 30 minutes to an hour depending on the plumbing your running through, and different variables like that

I recently started driving for a local grocery store chain’s private fleet, next year I expect to make about $80K. Once I hit top pay rate in about 3-4 years, then I should cross into the 6 figure club.

Like the OP I too run for a cryo private fleet and took a hit of about 8k thanks to covid and that was with over a $1 raise. Still managed 108k as of this week and made 116k the year before. Hadn't it been for the slow couple of months we had I would have been over 120k. I've ran all kinds of tanker work before I got into cryo 4yrs ago. From oil to chem and fuel, cryo by far is the cleanest and least back breaking of them all. All daycab work with a few team trucks, minimal layovers unless you prefer to be a rover on the road all the time. The other great thing about cryo is most of the producers such as airgas, praxair, air products etc.. keep most of the logistics in house. Kind of like how big oil use to run stuff back in the day.
